Is Google search better than Yahoo search?

I like Google but we have switched to "Goodsearch.com" because you can chose a charity to support with every search you make!

According to marketshare research, yes: http://marketshare.hitslink.com/report.aspx?sample=16&qprid=38&qpcustom=Cuil

As
you see there though, Cuil is the next major contender, but is still a new egg at the moment. You could say it just hatched I suppose being that it is live and useful.

Plus it just depends on what you are searching for, for instance if you are specifically searching for:
Pet names
Something Local
or
A Job in the Technology world
Privacy Minded - Cuil does not keep their logs either.

than those specific search engines will likely be more suited to your search.

Don't forget about http://www.dogpile.com/ though! It uses all of the popular ones so you get the best of both worlds!

I use Google.

You'll get better search results just by learning how to use Boolean operators to your advantage. Which search engine you use doesn't matter if you don't know how to search smart.

(Google "Boolean operators" if you want to know what I'm talking about...).

I would not want to make a comparison but I use mainly yahoo (rarely use smart and just on basis of keywords) ... works good for me!

* Most of the time, Google responds with too many sites for my phone to handle, and it seems much of it is in pdf format which I can't access. However, I haven't generally felt that I was missing out too badly with Yahoo. I don't often feel the need to wade through 3 million responses to a search.
