Is he poor quality?

I don't really plan on showing him, in fact we have 3 roosters (1 extra on accident) and only one is gonna stay unless 2 can get along. So he might stay or be dinner. Wow 18 months? I really don't know all too much about giant cochins... What about the pullets? Because if they don't start laying around the time our mutts started laying (5-6 months) my mom may turn them into soup. I was just wondering if he is poor quality, that's all. Anyways I don't know anything about show birds or the rules.

Question: What color are his feet? Tops and bottoms? They are supposed to be yellow, but look to be green/willow. If green/willow, that would be color foreign to the breed and a DQ in the show hall.

I wish he'd let me get close enough to tell you. At night though, the only time I can handle him, I will look. Last time I checked they were yellow. I dunno maybe they changed

Is he from hatchery stock ?? if so there may be your answer in itself, I have found almost all hatchery stock to be very poor as far as the standards go, if it's a better quality specimin your wanting get one from a good breeder.

It was a ranch that sold mainly horses and my mom just bought whatever females the rancher had at the time. They sell whatever they get, sometimes they have cochins, sometimes they have turkies, sometimes rabbits, I have also seen barred rocks and red sex links. But I don't think he's all that poor, he's good with the girls so we may keep him or the NHR.

First off he is adorable I LOVE cochins... As far as the "fluffybutt" mine took 16 months he had no "fluffybutt", this year has the perfect fluff.
