I just got this coat, it's an 81" where he measured 80.2". I'm thinking it looks a bit big on him, but I am FAR from an expert on it. Please let me know!

I'm not sure if it's supposed to flare out like this either?

Here's why I think it's too big...the hind part seems to overlap, but he moves around comfortably in it.

And just for kicks...Sir Dapples awaits your reply!

i think its just fine. i think if it was tight,, yeah that would be an issue. looser is better. he sure is handsome.

the fit looks just fine to me. a half a inch too big is way better then half an inch too small.

Woohoo!!!!!

Thanks guys! Thank you for all the compliments too!

We've got a cold front coming in tonight and I think this coat will be perfect for him. It won't make him too hot in 60* temps (should the temp get above that) and should keep him warm enough in -10* temps. Also is waterproof and leakproof.

Thank you!

That's
the description of it. It's a Tough One 600D turnout blanket. The people at the feestore ordered them for their own horses 6 years ago and haven't purchased anything else since. They won't even carry another brand because it's the best they've found. I called to TSC and all the surrounding feestores and none carried anything like what I was after, for the price I needed and in the size I needed.

Went to the Co-Op and they gave me as much info as they could and then told me personal stories about it. Supposedly it holds up REALLY well with horses that like to roll. Like Max...

It is unfortunately made for a somewhat different shaped horse than Max is, but, that said, it does not look too-dysfunctionally fitting to use, just watch for shoulder rubs.
