Is incubation time for eggs the same when they're under a broody hen as when they're in an incubator

Oh, it is adorable, all my chicks are old now, I don't have any little babies anymore...
I will take some pics of Midnight and Tweetie soon, they have both grown so much and guess what, this morning they crowed! I was so excited, really, I wanted to scream, I didn't, I will have to move them soon though, they are right by my bedroom window, that was so that no rat kiled them but with how big they are, I think they would kill the rat!
I have to go again but don't worry, work is slowing down so I will be able to talk more often! ;)

They crowed!thats exciting! I cant wait for my one lil roo to get old enough to crow!how old are tweetie and midnite now? Lol, I love to hear crowing in the morning but not right outside my bedroom window, I dont blame you for wanting to move em over!
Okay, I got bad news and good news. Bad first, I was bringing the youngest chicks in for the nite and right before I got the cage to the roosting room, the bottom fell out and dropped all the chicks to the floor. The waterer landed on one of them and broke its leg! Omg, I have never felt so bad! I wrapped it and kept her inside for a few days and the good news is,she seems to be getting along fine with it. Im so relieved! I noticed this morning that she even moved it a bit. Shes been hopping around on one foot like its no big deal. I ended up merging them in with everyone else a few days ago and little pegleg is doing just as good as the others.phew! I think keeping them so close to the big chickens helped out ALOT! Im glad I did it because the big hens have been pretty much acting like the little uns have been with them all along. Theres been some pecking but nothing mean, just normal.
Shoot, ive got to go again. Every time I sit down to chat something needs done! I took some pics I wanted to post so ill be back in a bit to do that!

I know but now they won't stop! Tweetie has it down pat but Midnight still sounds a bit weird! Lol
I don't remember how old they are but they developed really fast, the 5 oldest chicks haven't even started crowing yet so I find t a bit weird, and Midnight I relly big, much bigger than my small chickens that are full grown!
I can take a video of them cowing if you want and if I get th time!
Oh no, i am glad shes doing better though, what did you do for her, in case the same thing happens to me at some point?
I moved Tweeties siblings in with the chickens, they all form their little group, is just t roosting time, when they jump up to roost the chickens keep pecking them and making them jump back down but the rooster is really nice so he lets them roost beside him...
It's ok, have to go to, I will post some pics soon though!

Lol! Thats the way my pickles is! He starts right at the crack of dawn and just crows and crows til its time to roost! If I had neighbors itd probably drive em nuts! Id love to see a video of them crowing when you have time!
im glad yours are doing good with the older chickens! Mine were getting pecked at in the roosting room too for awhile but eventually they got it figured out. Now they all roost together. Ive been putting the youngest chicks on one of the nest boxes tho until theyre bigger so they dont get smushed. Its always nice when everyone gets along!
thats great that your rooster is taking the new ones under his wing so to speak.
Well ive got bad news again and I swear its about got me to where I dont want any more chicks to hatch! Both of Biddys chicks died. Within an hour of each other. I just dont know what keeps happening! Its so frustrating. And sad poor little things. Sigh.
Everyone else is doing great tho. The little one with the broken leg is doin better everyday. I took a pic of her. Her leg broke right at the joint where the bottom half meets the thigh half. What I did was hold it straight so the joints were back together(bless her little heart, she just sat in my lap and didnt fight at all. She squeaked when I fitted the bones together but other than that, she knew I was trying to help and sat still) anyway, after I fit the bones back I wrapped some gauze around the spot, then let her get it comfortable without undoing what id put back(she held it slightly bent instead of perfect straight) then I started to wrap it real firm but not so tight it would cut off her circulation. I didnt use a stick or anything like that just because I figured itd be uncomfortable and if it was bothering her I was thinkin shed pick at it and make it worse. So when I had it wrapped nice and thick to where it wasnt going to bend I slipped a little finger sleeve over it all to hold everything. It looked like a fat cast when I was done but it must have done the trick! Ive got a first aid kit just for animals and its come in handy a bunch of times!
Ok now for some pics! Ive finally figuref out this new fangled phone and it takes great pics.when they hold still!

Ok, its not letting me post pics from my phone so ill have to do it from the computer. As soon as she leaves me alone for awhile(yeah, you know who is back.ugh.) ill get on there and put some up!

heres the chick with the broken leg. you can see shes doing pretty good gettin around!

Ok, I will try to get a video, it's hilarious!
Yeah, I know, that rooster has always been a sweetie!
Oh no, why do you think that the chicks died?
That s good to hear!
I am thinking of getting Midnight and Tweetie a couple of girlfriends, maybe two for each and then I will have to make them each a little coop...
Oh, they are all so cute, the one with the broken leg looks like she is doing great!
Heehee, they are all adorable!
I have to go but I will soon take pics f everyone, and who I think should be Midnght and Tweeties girlfriend!

Well, i decided that i am not going to get the incubator set and i am going to spend the money that i had saved for that on two chicken coops for Midnight and Tweetie, they deserve it, they have been good little roosters! :p
Here are the coops, i am going to buy one to start with and then the other , will you help me decide which one i should buy out of these two?

Cant wait to hear your oppinion, i have to go now, but next time i am on, i will post some pics! :D

Oh you lucky cluck! Im totally jealous! Those are some fancy coops! Tweetie and Midnite sure are going to be some spoiled little birds! Lol! Ill tell you what I think but you do what YOU want when it comes down to it!

Oops, I wasnt done, didnt mean to post yet! Neway, if you can afford to get the one thats meant for 4 birds instead of the one for two, Id go ahead with that one. Now the smaller coop looks neater by far but I think itd be better to give them more room over looks. ive actually gone and looked at these coops (one of the feed stores in town has 4 different coops built for display)and they are smaller than what they seem in the pics. Really nice, but definitely not meant for more than a couple birds. Since your only putting Tweetie and Midnite and a girlfriend for each it will probably be just right for them. It looks like itd be very easy to add on to also. Plus imagine how nice itll look in your yard! I think itd be easy to make it look as fancy as the smaller one too. A rooster weather vane or something like that would look cool on it! Let me know what you decide! Im already excited to see them in their new palace!
