Is it a bad sign for an internal layer/ egg yolk peritonitis?

Blue comb is not a good sign, this of course will change if her condition improves. I'm wondering if she is going into organ failure with so many different poops. I know when their sick, you will see lots of different poops. Before you treated her, was her poops this way? Meds can have an impact too. Make sure she is getting grit where shes in the house. You can only do the best you can. It can get stressful and a worry. If she has the Peritonitis, the masses need to come out, it keeps her infection going. Rotting eggs. She probably was like this for awhile.

No, She didn't poop when my husband and I noticed her being ill.

I knew her eggs had been not normal... Sometimes it was without an egg shell so she ate it, sometime it was like a very pointy egg, sometimes the surface was so rough, sometimes the egg shell was so thin and so on.
Then, before she got ill, her egg had contained a lot of blood in it.
I should have noticed and looked for deeper.. I thought that was because she was stressed out.

A year ago, she was attacked by a fox, then her neck was ripped, and the other chicken was dead.
So, we have kept her inside of our house.
She had the limited time that she could stay outside, also she didn't have any chicken to stay outside anymore.

Well, It is good to know why she has such so many different poops.

Good morning, everybody. Update: 11/28 night- /29 morning.



11/28 last night: egg yolks / egg whites came out.




11/28 11pm. - 11/29 4am..




11/29 6:00 am..







Her comb looks better!! YAY!
I gave her 1/4 kids TUMS.



10 minutes later...

Her butt looks clean now. She doesn't drop her poops on her vent anymore.

Now she is laying down.

She is so very pretty. I can see why you love her so much.
I have a leghorn called Lilly who struggles with soft shelled eggs. She lays 3-4 a week and then 2-3 good eggs.
I've tried all sorts of additives, oyster shell, supplements etc.
I'm not sure if she will end up with problems or whether she has problems taking up the calcium. It's a worry.
At the moment tho she seems good so I hope for the best.
She's the alpha hen in her flock and has the most wonderful personality. Like you I will do everything I can for her.
You're doing really well, I'm sure she knows it.

Yeah, I am little confused if I feed her more calcium or less calcium.

More calcium makes her push out the stuff from her vent like laying an egg... Less calcium makes her not to lay an egg.. but she may not get enough nutrition, I wonder?

I don't know what to do to be honest.

But I will flush her out using warm water/ KY jelly when I get the lubricate, which we can use for a long term of periods that doesn't hurt any birds.

She is still laying down to poop an egg out again....

Lilly sounds very pretty! As you said, she has a quite personality! She is really funny that she was on the top of the air conditioner in the hot summer to cool off. She also wanted to come inside of our house all the time, so she was usually on the edge of every window. LOL

11/29/2013 Update - evening:

I checked my purchases of Valbazen and Baytril, both of two will be here by tomorrow.

My sick chicken Deckie acted active that she was walking around inside of our house to jump up on the shelf that is 3 inches high than the ground, which she couldn't do a week ago.



Her favorite time : Taking a bath.





20 minutes after taking a bath.




a couple hours later egg whites? urates? I don't know...




Clean vent recently..





Her droppings are white/stringy greenish poop only. I didn't see so many different poops.. is that because she stopped taking penicillin?
she seems having a blockage, I wonder. She didn't poop as much as yesterday.

her comb looks good though..

The other chicken who has a pendulous crop has wired poops now. I better keep eye on her too.

Update...11/29 night-11/30/2013 in the morning:

Good morning, everyone. She is still fine.



11/29 11pm..



11/30 6:00 am.. She was already trying to poop out an egg.. So, I inserted 10ml warm water/Ky jelly mixture into her vent.



A minute late.. She splashed it out.



she plashed them over on the crate too.




her vent gets messy again..






She pooped out these, but very watery.

When she was taking a bath, she started to open her mouth wide open to breath, her abdomen was moving like she was in labor.
She wanted to get out, but I held her gently but firm not to have her escape for another 10 minutes, then I took her out.
She pooped out a lot of stuff.. I couldn't take a picture of it, but most of that were water/ white stuff..


She is still laying down now.. she still has something inside... hmm...
