We ordered dark cornish eggs off ebay and had two hatch last night. After they shipped the seller emailed and said that somehow her buff cochin hen was getting in with her dark cornishes to lay her eggs and we might get one in our dozen. That said the dark cornish babies I've seen I thought were kind of buff with a brown stripe down each side - these babies have a little dark spot on their heads but are otherwise buff colored with feathering on there legs. That's the part that is getting me. I don't remember the day old dark cornishes we got from McMurray last year having any leg feathers. I realize it's hard without pictures but any ideas on what I really have would be appreciated.
