We bought 2 "female" pekins over the winter and aren't quite sure if one is a drake. It doesn't have a noticeable curled feather, but yesterday we saw it helping hold down the hen while our WH drake had it's way with it. So far we have only had 1 egg per day, but this morning there were 2 which has added to our confusion. I know ducks can lay 2 eggs, but I don't know if females ever display male mating behaviors when there is another drake around. We have never seen our know drake climb on the unknown one, only the known hen. Any insights?

When I had mallard derived birds before I got Muscovy's, I had females aid in a male mating. It seemed more of a jealousy act though. I had a female who would get upset when the male in her flock would breed with other females. She would try to nip or hold on to her head feathers at the female being mated.

What's it sound like?
You should notice your known hen quacks while your known drake has a more raspy sound.
Which does the unknown sound like?
