Is it a good idea to get chicks vaccinated for Marek's Disease?

We have Silkie chicks on order from My Pet Chicken. They don't offer vaccination of the bantam chicks - as I understand it they're just too small and delicate.

Does it make sense to vaccinate them when they get a little bigger then? I'm not sure if it's even available anywhere at that point....we don't have any avian vets as far as I know.

Ideal will vaccinate bantams. I've vaccinated all of my bantams with no ill effects. You could order the vaccine and vaccinate yourself when your chicks arrive.

the disease is not tranmittable through vaccination
