is it a man thing?

I am not the neatest person BUT I know exactly where everything is!!! DW is very clean BUT can NEVER find anything!!! I have certain areas for certain things: Work stuff, house stuff, shop stuff, animal stuff, Stuff to stay inside, and stuff to take out side....etc! DW wants everything hidden to make the house neat and clean. BUT she can not find something she just moved 2 minutes ago! I have watched her pick something up and put it in a drawer. Then come ask me what I did with it!!!! I can lay something down and go get some thing to drink or eat before continuing what I was doing and never will find where she hid my things! I will search for hours to finally find the tools I had in a drawer or in a cabinet in the hall! IF YOU ARE GOING TO MOVE IT, ALWAYS PUT IT IN THE SAME PLACE!!! that way I can go get it and finish what I was doing!!!!! JEESH!!!!! It's a non stop battle here! I know exactly where an item i was using 2 months ago is laying, even if its under something now! It may be in a pile but i know exactly whats in the pile! Every once in a while i get the neat bug and put things away..... But it takes me forever to find something! Its funny my messes are organized but my neat, clean, orderly areas are always hard to find things in! I don't think its a man thing! We just always get blamed, It's a blame thing! The man is always wrong and the woman is always right! Most men just get tired of arguing, shut up and take the blame even when it's not theirs! I am not saying this is always the case!!!!! But it is the majority! I know! I am a Man! I will just take the blame so DW will sut up and leave me alone so I can finish what I am doing!
Just remember, No matter how you feel..... Its the same feelings on the other end!!!

Both sides are at fault! No one is perfect! Most Every one has different ways of doing things! This is life! Opposites attract! LOL

God Bless!

In our home, we term that behavior, not being able to find things, when they are where they are supposed to be: "MAN EYES."

Yep, "man eyes" because DH and DS are the ones that will stand in front of the pantry and bellow that there's no peanut butter, because the oatmeal is in front of the jar.

When DD or I can't find something, we tease eachother, "You have man eyes; you have man eyes..."

DH does loose a lot of stuff. I am the organized one but I do always lose track of one thing....my shoes lol. Sooo I can't really say anything to dh or he says something about my shoes.

I'm the one who loses stuff or can't find stuff in front of her nose here. My family has found stuff in some pretty random places too (is there a reason the humus is in the microwave?) But I try not to accuse other people of moving it. I just have a bad memory

My mother warns me to pay more attention because if I'm this bad now, what will I do when I get old?

LOl well aren't these responses predictable hehehehe. just goes to show the ole sayin..................... If a man is in the woods is he still wrong ???. I personaly think it's a woman thing to always blame the man, it's genetic I am sure, they must always be right even if their wrong but it is always easier to blame the guy !!!!!!!!................... Kinda sounds like an Oprah or Dr Phil manhater episode LOL, you gal's crack me up.

Forgetting things isn't a man thing, I got an ex wife who forgot where she lived and ended up in California. No surprise the states in financial trouble she probably caused it single handed.

I may not regret it but I expect her third and fouth husbands do.

Case In Point... yesterday DH filled up the 5g waterer bucket... noticed a pretty major leak... so he dumps it and seals... so this morning he goes out... fills it up, no leak, but as he's just about to put it back onto it's base SNAP goes the nipple.

*facepalm*

Have I mentioned I'm NOT a morning person esp. where bad news is concerned?

Anywho, he goes off to work, then swings back by at 9... I could SWEAR that when I opened the shipped pack of two nipples that I secured the other in a really good place, instructions, whole enchilada... but where is the good place? AHH, we're hunting like loons, trying to find the other nipple. AHA, we fin the ziplock... with the grommets but NO nipple. AHHHH. Garage, on the dryer, in the china cabinet... hunting all over... finally he says "is there any chicken stuff in the bathroom?"... shower broody is now back in use but it was a chicken free zone between making the waterer and getting these new girls... so I say No, since there weren't poda be any more chickens...

And that's when he says "Oh, I thought you were keeping the apple juice bottle with nipple that you made as a test in there"

Yes, I had secured the extra nipple, safe place, etc... but it was after I'd made the AJ bottle (which didn't work btw, vacuum) not after we built the 5g w/pipe one. I am goober, hear me roar. But, HE didn't think of that either... not for hours... so at least in my warped little world I've got some company.

Well, we never found the ipod or GPS. He's pretty certain he tossed them in the trash.

I love DH but honestly, I dont think he could find his way out of a paper sack without his GPS. Poor DS is following in his footsteps.
