is it a rooster????

I was given six hens one is older and is laying the other five should be laying in about a month. I have noticed one of the hens is acting very agressive and today was on top of the older hen! At first I thought they were fighting but now I'm not sure. How do you tell if it is a rooster ? This is such a stupid question but these are my first hens so I don't know alot about this.
