Let's just hope that she never reads the FDA's handbook of what they allow in food. She'll die of starvation. Made the mistake of reading through how many rat hairs and mold spores not to mention insect pieces that they allow in our foods and they still qualify as fit...lolthis is so random but speaking of peoples opinions of food....i had an old lady at my work talk to me about eating healthy and i was like oh yeah i eat organic and i try to grow my own food as often as i can and she stopped me and looked terrefied and I'm like what
she said " do you know what they grow that organic food in"
i said "What?!"
( i was seriously like oh god is there something she knows that i should know thats bad or something)
She said "poop"
iiiiiiiii could not keep a strait face for the life of me and i literally had to just walk away........lol
Mine too, pretty much.seriously lol. mine will eat anything i drop. anytime i drop something even if its my phone or pots with plants they come running like little dinosaurs

I know that food I eat fresh out of the garden isn't "clean"...but at least it's local dirt!
If they have time to count rat hairs, why don't they have time to control the rats?
Woah, the last thing I wanted to do on here was start an argument! I don't think its fair to say I asked this question to troll or ruffle feathers. I've intentionally stayed out of this debate.
Remember my initial question was if it was safe to eat an embryo that was already dead. I asked because I didn't want to kill a living egg either. But everybody said it was not, but wanted to know what balut tasted like, so I asked if there was a humane way to kill them before boiling.
I'm not interested in a debate, I haven't even decided if I'm going to make balut or not yet. But the decision I make will not be made based upon the opinions of some people online I don't even know.
Like I said I've cancelled my fb account to avoid drama like this, so if y'all keep fighting imjust gonna delete this thread. I'll let you know what balut is like over pm.
And BTW killing an eating a duck embryo humanely (like I intend to) is absolutely no different than eating a full grown chicken. And that's all I have to say on this matter.
If you don't like it, go complain on the boards for butchering and cooking chicken. I'm done with this discussion.
