Is it Angel Wing?

I also have one with a droopy wing and would love to know what causes this. Mine is a young Muscovy drake (we think it's a boy due to size) and he always lets one wing hang down while the other is tucked up in the normal position. It does not look like angel wing because the wrist bones are not twisted so the wing does not stick outward, it is just that he kind of lets that one wing hang down towards the ground all the time. He also has kind of of a humped back.

We figured he must just be mildly deformed in some way as the rest of the ducks are all fine and they are all on the same diet and live in the same conditions.

My guess would be that it has had an injury & that is why it drops the one wing. However it is just a guess & angel wing can happen to only one bird in the flock.

Nope, no injury..or at least I have never seen him hurt himself. It is not drastic, it just slowly seemed to develop as his flight feathers grew in. Almost like the wing was too heavy and he just kind of let it hang down instead of folding it up neatly on his back like the other one.

Also, it looks nothing like angel wing, since my understanding of that disease is that the wrist joint 'twists' around so that the last set of feathers (the flight feathers?) point forward and out from the body. His wing is structurally straight and sound, no twist at all, it just droops.

I've seen posts that mention 'roach' back, and wondered what that meant exactly, since this same drake has always had kind of a hump between his shoulders. It is not extreme, but it is noticeable.

Definitely not going to breed that one, though I still have to figure out how to keep him from mating with the girls when they get to that age...don't want to kill him outright since he is perfectly happy and has good quality of life, just don't want to pass on his weird genes.
