Is it appropriate to de-worm during molting?

The experts say no and recommend that one doesn't worm chickens while they are moulting.
I'm not exactly sure why this is and perhaps it depends on the type of worm one is trying to treat and the chemicals used.
One of the Off-label dewormers creates wonky feather growth if given during molt.

So I've read. I have no experience of this. I'm going by what some of the producers state of their product and the advice of a couple of vets.
It's really a decision for the keeper. Only they can judge the impact of a parasite infestation in one of their birds and weigh it up against the current medical advice regarding their products. Often such advice is to cover their rears in the event that a one in one thousand (plus) chance crops up.
