Is it bad if squirrels get in the coop?

From time to time I get squirrels in my outdoor coop, I can't figure out where they are getting in through the hardware cloth. Can chickens and squirrels get along?

For the squirrels they can eat up your chicken feed and bring in fleas. What I would be more worried about is the fact that if a squirrel can get in so can a opossum, raccoon, or rat. They will kill your chickens and can squeeze in tight places like a rat. What size is your hardware cloth?

I agree with the above post, if squirrels can get in so can other predators.
