I was watching a video and when the lady turned her eggs in the incubator, she picked up the eggs one by one and flipped them pointy end up? And later she would put the pointy end down, I thought you weren't supposed to do this, am I wrong?

That is bad to leave them pointy end up for very long, it will cause the air sack to break, which will result in poor to no hatching, lol just saw you a minute ago

You are right. The pointy end should always be down. It sounds like she may have confused the directions with turning eggs when they're on their side. Then you put an X on one side and an O on the other and turning them is changing from the X facing up to the O facing up. Even when the eggs are on their sides, they should be positioned so the pointy end faces down as much as possible. When eggs are upright, i.e. big end up, pointy end down, turning the eggs is tilting rather than actually turning over. You would put a block or something under one end of the carton to elevate it to about a 45° angle and "turn" the eggs by then moving the block to the other end of the carton. Either way, eggs should be turned an odd number of times each day, so they don't always sit overnight on the same side.
