New chicken tender here and I've heard a lot about bumblefoot and foot injuries lately. Today I saw a few small drops of blood on one of the ramps for our chickens so I gave them each a once over to see if there were any injuries. Thankfully, no one seemed to be injured, but I saw this on one girl and am trying not to panic/worry. I cleaned her foot well and gave it a spray of blu-kote, let it dry, and rushed here with a picture. Should I worry, or did I overreact?

Yup it is seems small there is a scab looking thing flick it off.
There is core in it. Once you get to the core soak the foot in Epson Salt. Pack it with triple anti biotic ointment no pain killer in it please.
If you have a child you can use one of their socks to keep it clean.
Take the sock off every couple days see how it is doing.

Thank you so much! Hopefully I caught it in time and it won't get too bad.

It looks like it had been worse and is healing. I would do as @pennyJo1960 mentioned. I have successfully treated 4 or 5 birds for it. I like to put a small square of gauze with the triple anti biotic on it and wrap her foot with vetwrap but not too tightly! Works great! I also use a product from 3m called nexcare waterproof foam tape to hold the vetwrap from coming loose get the one that is tan colored foam not the white paper nexcare tape. Awesome product! It will not come loose! Change it every couple of days should heal quickly! You can get these products on Amazon.

Well, we brought her in and soaked her foot, but the black scab was gone and instead there was a slightly larger "scab" , but it looked to be the same color as her foot and we couldn't remove it. It almost looked like it was healed over. We still added some medicine and wrapped it up and will continue to monitor the next few days. Hoping your right and it was already healing up. Fingers crossed!

That is what I thought, it really did look like it was healing up nicely! I`m pretty sure she is on the mend! That`s what I would do keep it wrapped and keep an eye on it! I but she will be good to go in a few days! 😊
