Ohmygosh, yes they are! I have 3 ducklings in a brooder right now, about a week old. I had to get rid of my four call ducks because the girls narked me out to the landlady by their quacking. These new ones are from eggs already incubating when the edict came down. I'm hoping I can sneak one to keep if one is a male..... and will have to rehome the others. They're call ducks, so they're small, and none of these are white, so I am hoping I CAN sneak one to keep.
She did let me keep my Cayuga pair because they ARE quiet - and I begged and begged her. Cayugas are a very quiet breed, even Thelma hardly quacks at all.
But I am not sure when I will ever get over being broody.
