Is it choking or what?

I did a search for choke, choked, choking and mostly got stuff like "My DH could have choked me when I came home with more chicks" etc. Anyway, my ISA B's are just over a week old and seem to be doing fine but tonight as I was watching them, one would open her mouth wide like a yawn then shake her head. She would peck around and do chick stuff then do the yawn & shake thing again. I watched her pecking away at the feeder and using the nipple waterer but still would perform the yawn/shake routine. None of the others were doing it.

So what do you think? Does she have a pine shaving or piece of feed stuck somewhere or what? I guess I'll find out in the morning if I have a dead soldier.

I suspect your guess is right. If I couldn't see anything I would probably try feeding a bit of bread with some cooking oil on it, or maybe plain.
