This isnt a chicken question but a duck question. I have been incubating duck eggs for about a week. The nest was raided by a raccoon and the owners gave me the 2 eggs that made it. The nest was discovered around the 26th of May. I was gone for the day yesterday and came home and noticed one of the eggs had moved and candled it to make sure their was no damage. But I have noticed the veins are super hard to see near the air sac but still prominent on the bottom of the egg and movement has slowed.

Is the egg on its way to dying or hatching?

Hopefully the embryo is just developing. As they get older they seem to move less, and veining can be more difficult to see.
I hope so too! I am locking down the incubator and moving as towards hatching. As it looks like it is moving closer to the air sac
