I have two geese and one duck who have lived happily together for a year, wandering over the yard and fields during the day, but put to bed at night to protect them from Mr Fox. I noticed the younger of the geese (about 18 to 24 mths old), about two weeks ago 'collapsing' when I went to put them into bed, it was as if the legs had given way, after about 4-5 mins she got up and went into bed, was a bit wobbly, but showed no signs of distress etc. The next day she was completely back to normal. This has now happened for the 3rd time. Again she showed no signs of distress, but it took longer before she eventually went into bed and this morning (its now after 11am, she still has not come out of their house, although she was at least standing when I checked 5 mins ago. I spoke to a local vet who said it could be a nerve causing the problem and that if this is the case, she should hopefully improve through time, but I feel she is getting worse, although looks and acts as though well!! Does anyone have any experience of this - I would hate to see her get worse. I would appreciate any experiences shared on this matter.
