Sorry I didn't respond last night! I go to bed early. I gotta get up at 4am. It should only take 24-48 hrs once they start to cheep. sometimes just a couple hours!!! It just depends on how thick the egg is and how strong the chick is. It can take 3 days. But not usually! Once they pip it is the hardest part. They are so close but it can still take a while. They have to work a lil, stop catch there breath and energy, then start again. Its amazing to think they actually can turn inside that egg. I couldn't belive the way they are crammed in there that they could even breath at all!

Well this morning I ran out to check on the egg and it didn't even have a pip yet!

Then around 10 I checked on on all of the eggs and the 2 green eggs both have pips! YAY!

The other two haven't piped yet, but hopefully they will! How long will it take now? Thanks!

UPDATE:
I just check on the egg and the hen has smashed 1 of the eggs!!! Help! What do I do? Should I help it out? It already has a pip in it, but it's just smashed? What do I do?

I woud carefully use tweezers and pry a lil bit off trying not to remove too much membrane until you can see if it has any blood in it. A tiny bit is ok. But if you see full bloodveins STOP! the chick will bleed to death if you break the veins open to remove it.
