I feed them most table scraps and left overs that we don't finish, nothing that's actually spoiled or moldy though. They love pasta, veggies, bread, scrambled eggs and leftover meat. I try not to overdo it, but I've got 20 chickens, so they can eat quite a bit and still get the majority of their nutrition from their crumble.
They also get the excess cucumbers and tomatoes out of my brothers large garden and the heads off the sunflowers my mom grows when they fall over (next year I'm planting my own).
