You'll probably need to build your own. Most prefabs I know of aren't meant for more than 4 or 5 max for standard birds

I would think they’d be fine then. We went 2 years without a drake and no issues keeping them together. We will not be buying drakes, because we don't need any ducklings running around. If we ever decide to breed our ducks or chickens, we will probably pay to use someone else's because I don't want them fighting, and also we live inside city limits so we can't have any roosters.
I know that the ducks need to swim and such, but I didn't know that ducks don't roost like chickens! I am not going to have drakes though, because I can see how that would be hazardous. We have chickens just for eggs, not to eat, so we get attached to them and name them (our chicks are Cola, Chickaletta, Betty Pearl, Coco, & Caramelicious), so I definitely would not risk it.
Duck hens and chickens can be housed together as long as you are aware that ducks have different needs.
Ducks need enough water to be able to submerge their whole bill to clean their nares. They love to bathe and because of that can make their area quite messy and muddy.
Ducks don't roost like chickens, so they would need a clean place on the ground to sleep at night, not just under the chickens roosting bars or something.
If you have sufficient outdoor space I don't see why not.
And I second the warning that drakes should not be mixed with chickens. Some people try it but in my opinion it's not worth risking, not when it could kill one of my chickens.
That makes sense. Do you recommend any size, or style? You'll probably need to build your own. Most prefabs I know of aren't meant for more than 4 or 5 max for standard birds
If you do a raised coop in the pen, odds are the ducks will nest beneath the coop. If you do a coop on the ground, then the duck might nest with the chickensThat makes sense. Do you recommend any size, or style?
Is it bad for the ducks to nest with the chickens, or is it fine?If you do a raised coop in the pen, odds are the ducks will nest beneath the coop. If you do a coop on the ground, then the duck might nest with the chickens
