Is it hard to sell baby chicks?

I have been thinking about selling chicks because I have always wanted to incubate and hatch chicken eggs but I can't keep the chicks because of the space how difficult is it to sell chicks to people and what are things I need to know?

Depends on the breed and location. Here, yes, almost all chicks are pretty hard to sell. But if they're silkiesnor naked necks, then you can't keep them in stock

I haven't sold chicken chicks, but I've sold at least three "sets" of quail chicks.

I've only this year gotten into incubating, albeit on a very small scale, but once word got out at work, I found myself being asked if I had any to sell. I didn't, because of how few I was baking, but once I set it up again, I hit up one person, then another, etc.

I haven't sold any lately, because I put the brakes on, but I see them on Craigslist often. I've not ventured there, yet.

Depends on what kind you're selling as well as location. Pure breads will sell better than a random barnyard mix. That being said, I have had no trouble selling barnyard mix chicks.

Just dependsnon where you are. What sells here might not sell there

I would recommend breeds with interesting colored eggs. Ameracaunas, Legbars, Marans, Welsummers, Isbars, etc. I don’t sell any myself, but people love chickens with specialty or “unusual” eggs.

Do chickens like polish, silkies, and frizzles sell good as well
