Is it illegal to hatch and release Canadian geese?

Looks like there are too many in Georgia already - I would call any wildlife group ahead of time and ask if the even take these animals - they may not. Here is some information from Georgia:

This is a life, and it has the potential to live a long time - hatching out something with such uncertainty is dicey at best - I'd suggest thinking about it from the little goose's perspective - Good Luck! to you and the egg!
