EXACTLY!! Their limbs go everywhere, so they look like they are having a seizure

Yes, when I first got chickens my SLW laid on the back step all sprawled out with her wing over her extended leg. I came around the corner of my house and screamed. I though she was dead. She got up quickly and my heart slowed down from 200 beats/minute. OMG Almost scared me to death.

I knew about sunbathing because of a canary I had a long time ago. I found him out on the enclosed balcony one summer day; it must have been a hundred degrees out there, and he was laying on the floor, wings spread in full sunlight. In a millisecond, I kicked myself for leaving the door to the balcony open a crack, I planned a funeral, I was ready to cry.

Then he got up and flew back into the apartment.
