Other folks probably feel the same as you. I can definitely cook a chicken, (No problem at all with that) but I'd never, ever, be able to cull one

I'm with you! I can still cut up a store-bought chicken but there is no way I could ever eat one of mine.

Just a couple of boxers, a lot of chickens, a pot bellied pig, and three noisy guineas. The chickens make me money and I plan on adding ducks and geese for myself later this year and goats in a couple of years.

I still love my chicken!
I cook extra ... so my chickens can rip it apart like monsters. It’s the one treat they’ll jump 2’ off the ground for...such bad manners.
Some people say “what!”
But hey...we all love our chickens one way or another.

No problem here, at least not ones that I named. We raise meat rabbits too ( that makes a lot of people upset) I don't name the young just the adult breeders. If you have no feelings when processing meat then something might be wrong .Really though, I feel grateful each and every time we process a animal to feed our family.

You know I’ve been toying with the idea, really. I have to build a my new coop first. My husband had a few years ago. I think they’re cool looking
