LOL. This is me too! Hubby says, "can't you stop that for a minute and spend some time with me?" LOL. I check for new messages, read them, then hit refresh... 50x in a row!

I have dial-up, also, and actually pay extra every month so if people call and I'm online, I'll know and can hangup! Good thing, too, because for awhile there no one could get through!

Yes, I am a backyard chicken addict too, im on prepaid dial up so I spend $20 a week topping up. I wait for my partner and son to go to sleep at 8.30 then I get online "yippee" and I cant get to bed until 12 midnight on most nights and its all BYC's fault.
I get up late, make Mikey's brekky,make coffee, feed the chookies, pack school lunch, drive him to school in my pjamas, get home have a shower, put my face on then get to work at 10. come home at 2 get washing off the line, have a coffee, talk to chookies, pick mikey up, feed chookies, cook dinner,do housework, then online to you guys!!!
I bet I could stay up all night on here if I could!!

Oh how SWEET it is! My mother comes over several times a week now...just to sit on my front porch, and watch the chickens. At first, she would harrass me about talking about my chickens all the time. Then she would make fun of me for talking TO my chickens. Just yesterday....she and her hubby came over....we sat on the front porch for a few hours, just watching the chickens. They were running all over the yard, and started to come up, wanting treats of course! LOL Wasn't long before my mother and her hubby was talking to and hand feeding the hens!

The addiction has spread.

There is nothing like a shady porch, a cool breeze, and chickens running in the front yard.

Ahhhhhhhhh...what a great life!! Makes most of the everyday stress just melt away!

Yep, I'm here too. There's many of us from all over the world if seems that loves our chickens. I think they are good therapy. Right? Plus we get good healthy food from them. What could be better than that? And this social life to boot? Who would'a thought from a little ol' chicken?

Anytime I pick up my laptop DH makes some little comment like "Oh looking at chickens again", then he rolls his eyes when I start to tell him all the new info I learned or how someone's coop is coming along or....well....I tell him about everything on this site. He hates it, but I love it.
