Is it just the outer toes that are feathered Black Copper Marans?

I did a search, but couldn't find the info.

On Black Copper Marans, is it okay to have feathers on the middle toe also?
For some reason I thought the feathers were only supposed to be on the outer toes. My little baby has feathers on the middle toes. I need to know breed standards.

I just checked at the Marans Club of France and their site states that feathers are only on the outer toe.

I'll be bummed if I have to cull the only bird that hatched (just 36 hours ago).

Any comments will be interesting to read.

No, feathering should be only on the outside of the shank & on the outer toe.

Don't be discouraged. I had several that had down feathers on their middle toes but when the down fell out, no feathers came in on their outer toes.
