My health is not so great lately and i'm a bit overwhelmed, so thinning my flock by posting on craigslist. i have four cute little blue OEGB chicks my broody hatched out that i posted. Judging from the combs i have one roo and three pullets. So i am asking $25 for all of them, and i would like them to go together.
i've only had one response so far. One man said he would offer $20. Went on to say he has raised them in the past, and has room for them. Plus he's driving in from about an hour away.
i don't know. It just seems a bit odd to me to try to dicker the price down by $5. i mean, it's not a big deal to me one way or another. i mainly want them to go to a good home. But i guess i have to wonder about someone who would make an issue out of such a small amount of money.
i tend to use money issues as a barometer when adopting out birds. If someone's first question is "How much?" rather than asking questions about the birds, i tend to think their heart is not in the right place.
Am i making too big a deal out of this?
PS - i guess i'm being sensitive about this as i'm needing to thin birds i would prefer to keep if i had the energy. If i have to rehome, i really want them to go to a good home.
