Is it moral to eat meat? ***Constructive Discussion ONLY***

Here is my .02 worth.

My family and I eat meat. We enjoy it. Now that I raise my own meat we eat it more moderately. The bible says to eat meat moderately for health. It also says to be moderate in all things (I hope that doesn't mean BYC

) My family try to eat, exercise, and do all things in moderation and believe we have been healthier because of it.

To sum up: Eating meat is moral...if done in moderation.

There is my .02 worth, take it for what it is worth.

I think it is absolutely wrong to eat animals. First off its not necessary. Eating meat is selfish. People do it for taste. People argue that you need the protein from meat. Not true. There are many ways to get protein, without killing an animal. Second of all, its really bad for you. Im not going to get into it, but facts are facts, and its bad for you. Third off, what makes an animals life less worthy than ours? Because they dont speak english? Drive cars? Go to work? I dont feel like anyone has the right to take a life away from another being. Animals do it, yes, but we know better. That regret that someone mentioned early on is proof. You love an animal, pet it, raise it, and then steal its life, so that you can satisfy a craving for a specific taste? Its funny how people rationalize eating meat. Tons of excuses. But thats all they are.....excuses. We are selfish creatures.

well my self i do eat meat. i think its perfectly fine to do so. I hunt and fish, and only keep or kill what i want and not waste it (as it let it die for no reason or just let it lay) I havest every animal i take! I dont really have the cahunas yet to harvest one of my chickens and probally wont, lol!!!
But every one has there own veiws on things, its just life

Chickenboy8, I have to agree with you. One has to consider the story of Jesus and the fish and loaves. They all ate meat and bread that day.

I am a farmer

I do not assign human feeling\\emotions to animals

I don't have pets

I would eat my dog if needed (if I had one)

I kill, butcher, package and cook most of my own meat.

I rasie extra to give to those that feed the homeless.

I have no moral issues with eating meat.

I would have a moral issue seeing that meat going to waste.
