I have this mottled mutt of a chicken. Got it because it has nearly bone white legs which I found interesting. So the store I got it from didn't know it or the sibling's gender.

We're pretty sure its sibling is a male because of how it needs to keep the for sure hen and mystery chick in its sight or it will have panic attack.

But the mystery chick crows but according to my sister she's been seen doing the I got an egg song too! Is this a common thing that it can cluck like a hen, crow yet do the egg song? Or do we have a lil freak on our hands. A freak that's well loved by me though XD. Mum isn't found of her since she's a bit of a feather picker

Some of my females imitate the males crow. I also have a roo who clucks and sings more than crows. so, it could go either way for your mystery chicki.

Yeah, my bantam rooster likes to sing and cackle the whole time his ladies are laying eggs and if you startle him the poor boy screams like a girl!!! LOL But he crows a LOT too.

Good luck with the mystery chicken.
