Is it normal for chickens to have farting diarrhea sometimes

Yesterday I was looking at my chickens in the run and one of my speckled sussex hens made a farting sound and while she did that diarrhea squirted out. This is the first time i've seen this and the chickens are all still acting normal. My friend who I split my pullets with says his chickens do it and they're still ok so I assume that this is a normal thing. Is it?

Normal, especially if she's been eating a lot of vegetable material or fruits.

Pretty sure it might be due to a yeast infection in my chicken

Normal that only down side is that their feathers get covered
