Is it normal for chicks to sleep all day?

Have 7 four week old chicks. Today one just wants to sit on the perch, not even interested in egg yolk. Every time I check, she's roosting with an occasional preening. She can walk and get around, but just wants to sleep. Since the 'Dirty 1/2 Dozen' are feisty and HUNGRY as usual, I'm figuring she is just having a sleep day. My kids used to do that every now & then when they were babies. Maybe a growth spurt?

I think I'm asking for reassurance. This is normal, right? BTW, I did pick her up to check for pasty butt - she screamed (her normal response to being picked up) and seemed strong.

Would appreciate any help. Thanks

Sounds like she is lethargic and could be ill. I would separate her, make sure she has food and water. Put some vitamins/electrolytes in her water, you can use the Polysovyl without iron in a pinch. Separating her will keep her from possibly infecting others and allow you to monitor her (and her poo) easier.
