Is it normal to have some brown on chicken feet?

Don't feel stupid...there's always someone with the same question...me, for example.

I always look too closely at their feet. After a few of ours started to get leg-mites, every little thing looked like an issue to me. This was one of them.

The scales are kinda like fingernails. Ya know how ya get dirt up under them?

Right before a show if some of mine have to much I take a toothpick and gentley scrap under the scales comes right out!

Those are actually some pretty nice Brahma feet, for, I'm guessing she's from a hatchery? Most hatchery based Brahmas have pretty pale, almost white legs.

They are actually from someone local. One buff and one light. They are very pretty and sweet too!
