The brown leghorn is DEFINITELY a girl. What colors are the eggs that you're getting? Are they the same colors every day?I thought that one was too. But posted her on here and they all unanimously said no. Brown leghorn and very typical coloring and comb for the breed.
I disagree- my leghorn has been consistently laying every day as it gets colder, with no slowing down or stopping. It's not as cold as CO, but still. Cold doesn't affect laying, light does, but with a strong layer breed like the leghorn, it's really not as much as other breeds. What breed are they? And if you have a leghorn of any kind they really won't lay if it gets to cold![]()
First to get frostbite, I'll agree with, but my leghorn is still going strong while my red sex links are slowing down and dropping off.Wow, you must have super birds. My white leghorns were the first to stop when it got cold(and the first to get frostbite)
No idea. Bought them from a farm as adults. We're getting off topic, sorry OP.Cool were do you get your birds from, I might wan to look there. Perhaps they have a harder strain?
