Is it normal?

for a hen to peck the comb of the roo. 2 of my hens were pecking the roos comb last night

Sorry, couldn't resist. It seems to happen a lot, but I don't know why. I re-homed my roo.

it could be normal b/c he may have not shown who it boss, chickens go after anything red (never paint you toe nails red, ouch) so if the hens are tell him he is not top dog, I would say it was normal
