Is it normal for hens from 3 to 4 months old to be laying?

That's pretty young but it happens sometimes, particularly with the production egg layers.

The earliest I ever had a hen lay was at age 17 weeks. Three months old, I would say that's extroardinary, but 4 months would be almost normal.....
