Ok how do i start this my uncle pasted away about 2 month ago leaving me with a game hen amd roo! Well about a month ago a thought that the hen had ran away right! WRONG!!!! about three days ago while tending to my mini farm i spoted her and she was sitting! Didn't know on what or for how long? Yesterday i saw some chicks OH (Sugar Honey Ice Tea!!!) well today We just so happened to get a down pour. DW said that i cant leave them there to drown! My thinking is they were born to the wild they will survive in the wild! DW not happening! Well i got on my rain coat and went to the wild. Well about 10 min later and wet from toe to knee. we have 9 dibbies! WOW so here are a coup. of pics

I would put momma in with them to keep them warm and to take care of them . When they are a couple weeks old let her and them back out and you won't have to keep them in the brooder near as long.

Is it just me, or are there 10 chicks in that pic?

I would take mama and chicks and put them in a cage of some sort, until the chicks are a little older. The mama will take care of her babies

well after long debate and a gazillion rain drops later i contructed a dry home of such (not like the 300,000 one paris hiltons dogs have) but a dry one ifeel a little better and their mom is still sitting on two more eggs. i guess that bringsthe chicken total up to 10 more than the last count!
