I'm sure you can elaborate to the OP on why you cross breed and the benefits or not of doing so.

Colt is right. I cross breed some of my birds and do my best to maintain pure breeds in other groups. Even after doing it for years, I never know exactly what I'm gonna get. I can guess colorwise for most, as well as if it's gonna have muffs or leg feathering or single combs based on who I have in that flock at the time, but usually I have a much easier time looking at the result and then figuring out who the parents are
 
I have 2 roosters and multiple hens of different breeds. Does it matter if they cross breed? How do you know what you end up with?
Yes, it's 100% okay to cross breed. You can bring in interesting colors combinations, hybrid vigor, increased egg Production, decreased egg production(depends on your goal), meat quality, & several other traits to the genetic pool.

If you wanna purebred them, that's okay too. Breed only the same breeds together to keep them the same breed.
