Is it ok to feed blueberries?

I wish that were true--birds are stripping my bushes clean faster than I can get at the ripe ones and I have over 100 bushes.

Same here-if we didn't net our bushes we wouldn't get any berries.

If you think about it virtually all tree and bush fruit is threatened by wild birds the moment they get nice and ripe. If Blueberries were toxic to birds, you would find dead birds all over the place as they eat freely on all forms of fruit.

There are many on this site that have dispelled the myth that citrus is bad for birds as well.

I don't know if there has been a documented case of a chicken having a toxic reaction to any food that humans eat. Of course they have been poisoned with the likes of rat poison etc. , but for all the concern about the toxic list I still have not see a post that indicates that "my chickens died because of "fill in the blank" food that is something that I could have or would have eaten.

I think we can feed them, as many do anything we have in our pantry. I think that long term feeding of heavily salted foods is a bad thing if we eat a ton of salty stuff we will have a bad reaction as well.
