is it ok to feed my chickens those wild black berry or raspberry. what ever there called? i have been but stopped to ask you all. after im done feeding they dont act weird so i dont think its hurting them. they find it irresistible. some of my most skiddish chickens snatched them out of my hand even. im happy for that. they love them and it doesnt seem to be hurting them but i just wanted to make sure it is ok to feed it to them before i do it anymore. i read somewhere fruit is bad for them and can cause them to stop laying but im not even sure if a black berry or raspberry is a fruit or not. please help me out. thank you.

I'd think they'd scarf them up and beg for more...

When they ripen here, I plan to give my girls & boys some too.

Mine are going to get all the wild raspberry they can eat. The whole property is bordered in raspberries gone wild so it's a solid wall of thorns by late summer. There are berries everywhere. We've picked several 5gallon buckets full in a day before and hardly made a dent. That's just the point at which we get tired of picking.

cool. i gave mine some and they went crazy. now the bad part is that almost all the ones that are within my range of being picked are red and the ones that are ripe are in the back in the think thorns. i got alot but now i will have a few days for the red ones to ripin.
