OH! you are so mean to your little girl!
LOL my girls love holding the tiny babies. If I actually told my girls no they couldn't, they'd do it anyway. The temptation is just irresistable. Besides, the chicks will learn better when they get bigger, helps teach them to run faster. lol

Well Syd held them last night...of course not all 25

but the wyadonettes likes to crawl into the crease of her neck and go to sleep....we got pooped on but it was worth it.
I guess it really wasn't the holding I was scared of it was the fact I thought they may get cold out of the heated brooder. I would just feel horrible if one got chilled.
Thanks for all the input!!

aww what a sweet moment that made! She'll remember that moment longer then you can ever imagine. If those chicks snuggled up and fell asleep, there was no way they were going to chill. Probably made the safest place for them to be.
Good luck with them.

How can you NOT hold those fuzzy cute little things??? And when they were very young, I held them at the table so if the jumped they didn't have far to go down. Now they are 8 1/2 weeks old and jump at me and on me and chase me around and do the chest bump like men watching football. I LOVE MY CHICKENS!
