As I stated earlier broody hens are generally not of a sharing nature and can you blame them? As mothers and fathers would you like to share your children with the strange neighbor down the street? Ah yes I agree that some parents might like the idea for a day or two but we really know the real answer to the question.
When we used brood hens on a regular basis at the hatchery, we always separated each hen into a broody coop that was quiet and peaceful with a darkened nest box. Certainly we would never combined brood hens since it could risk the clutch generally.
