Is it ok to put a few day old ducks with a couple week olds?

Our three Pekin ducks are a little over two weeks old. My boys want at least one more to replace the one that died but who can buy just one.

The local farm store is suppose to get 40 in Friday morning. Is that to much difference in age to keep them together? Thanks.

I often combine ducklings - generally one or two weeks age difference. I havent ever had any issues yet - but I dont put just hatched ducklings in with older ones. They always have at least 4 days on their own so I can make sure they are eating well and can hold their own against the bigger ones. If you were getting 2 or more you could keep the younger ones on their own for just a dew days- and they would have company for a few days before combining the two groups.
