Is it ok to put hot hands in the turkey cage?

its cold and my poults are in the garage with a heat lamp and blankets over there cage is it ok if I add hot hands to keep them warmer

How old are the poults how warm it is under the lamp..? you don't want them too hot

if u are meaning to do that so they have something warm to lay on i suggest, no. but if u still want something for the to sit on/lean on that is warm, i suggest a jar of hot (but not too hot!) water, closed tightly and laid on it's side. wrap a rag around it so they dont have direct contact to the hot jar

They are three weeks but they are shivering

Good idea I just wanted to make it so it could make the atmosphere in there warmer but I want some air flow I will think about the jar that's a good idea

Lower the heat lamp low enough so that it's between 95-100 degrees. Put a thermometer directly under the lamp so you can read how warm it is under the lamp.

I'm using a reptile lamp because everywhere was sold out of regular heat lamps

I hate to say this but I don't have a thermometer I thought I did but I lost it
