I gotta wonder if the salt ever really all 'rinses out'...

Ah, ok. Gottcha! They didn't attempt to eat it, Bob. They treated it like litter & spread it around the run. I did think they might but nope. Just a big pile of funny leaves & they went bug hunting. There's often lots of small bugs in piles of sea grass like that.
