The girls love to sit on the roost and look out the window. It's open in the summer, closed in the winter.

I have 2 each 36x36 windows. One on the west and one on the south wall. The north and south wall are gabled and are my main ventilation points. The other air comes up the eaves. I'm hoping with the plastic over the windows during winter still allow enough heat through and the chicks can enjoy the radiant heat. Intend to put the roost bars on the south wall. Hope you had luck being by a window and share how it went! Good luck!We are building the coop now & have framed for 2 windows for ventilation. THEN I thought of the roosting poles---ugh.
Is it ok to put the roosting pole in front of the window?? They will have a nice view???
Or will they not like that? Too drafty? Too much light?? I dont know what to do
PLEASE tell me if you think this is ok, I know it may seem like a silly question but I need advice from those of you who know...
Blessings,
Laura
