IS it ok to put the roosting pole in front of a window?????

The girls love to sit on the roost and look out the window. It's open in the summer, closed in the winter.

Oh that's good to hear a roost in front of a window is ok/good since that is how my coop is going to end up!

Oh MOST awesome!!! Thanks for all the pictures and replies!!

WHEW, I feel alot better now. I would *really* hate to have to tell the dear old man that we need to rework the plans and reframe!!!

I'm pretty sure he would walk off into the sunset with his tool belt swinging on his hip, a budweiser in hand, muttering how I've tip-toed into lala land.......

We are building the coop now & have framed for 2 windows for ventilation. THEN I thought of the roosting poles---ugh.
Is it ok to put the roosting pole in front of the window?? They will have a nice view???
Or will they not like that? Too drafty? Too much light?? I dont know what to do

PLEASE tell me if you think this is ok, I know it may seem like a silly question but I need advice from those of you who know...
Blessings,
Laura
I have 2 each 36x36 windows. One on the west and one on the south wall. The north and south wall are gabled and are my main ventilation points. The other air comes up the eaves. I'm hoping with the plastic over the windows during winter still allow enough heat through and the chicks can enjoy the radiant heat. Intend to put the roost bars on the south wall. Hope you had luck being by a window and share how it went! Good luck!

This was over 12 years ago. The OP hasn't been on in over 5 years. Odds are we won't get a response.
