Is it ok?

I would feed my dog chocolate every once and a while, if I didn't know that it would choke her. Dogs just go crazy over chocolate!

Just because any animal goes crazy over X food, does not mean that it is good for them, nor is it an optimal feed to sustain them.

A good solid animal specific diet is best IMHO. If you want to toss this, that and the other thing to them, from time to time, or in moderation, then fine.

I'm just saying that raising any bird/animal requires an investment in quality animal food. If you are cleaning out the fridge or pantry, to keep your animals alive, then you are wrong, and they will never thrive.

Yes,it is a gamebird feeded. The bread would be like a treat. But by the info its not good for them, I do give them millet sticks like you would house birds

If you are feeding game bird feed and tap water to your birds, then that is fine. Actually, it's optimal!!!!
They don't really need "TREATS" of any kind.

When I get good scientific data that says that stuffing quail (Of Any Species) full of day old bread, raw grains, meal worms, and anything else is a good thing. I'll be right here eating my words, along with crusty bread, raw grain and meal worms.

If you want to toss your birds bread crumbs from time to time as a treat, then knock yourself out. If you think some musty bread crumbs are a substitute for high quality game bird feed.....I have some bad news for you!

I don't feed bread to me or my family let alone my birds.

If you want to spoil the little buggers, give them stuff they would normally eat in the wild. Seeds, berries, greens... mine like clover. The closest thing they get to "junk food" is thawed frozen peas.
